The Rookie Rugby Camp Day

Delaware Rugby Foundation Rookie Rugby Camp

One of the best sports camp programs in Delaware, Sanford Sports Camps will host a Rookie Rugby camp from July 25 to July 29. The camp, for boys and girls, ages 10-14, is sponsored by the Delaware Rugby Foundation. Each camper will receive a rugby ball, camp t-shirt, and Rookie Rugby patch!

MARFU/USA Men’s 7s Individual Testing and Open Camp

MARFU / USA Men’s 7s Individual / Open Camp

On Sunday, June 26, 2011 on grounds arranged by the Delaware Rugby Foundation in Wilmington, Delaware, in Alapocas Run State Park, over 70 players showed up to participate in a one-day seven’s camp. In what is hoped to be an annual event, the 7s camp was set to showcase local rugby talent to National 7s Head Coach, Al Caravelli and Mid-Atlantic area selectors and coaches.

As is so often the case, the Rugby gods shined down on the Stone Harbor New Jersey fields on Saturday, May 21, 2011. With the triple horn, Surfside was, once again, under way. 

With strong clubs and colleges participating, Surfside I enjoyed a little inter-league play in the morning to keep the competition true.

Scholarship Winners Announced for Player Development Camp

The EPRU has announced the winners of the essay contest for a full scholarship to the 10th Annual East Stroudsburg Player Development Camp at East Stroudsburg University from July 7 to July 10.

Cara Bacher of Medford, NJ (South Jersey Girls); Megan Lynott of Doylestown, PA (Doylestown Girls); Brianna Kearse of Stratford, NJ  (South Jersey Girls) and Alexander Vogt of West Chester, PA (West Chester Boys) were chosen for their essays on the subject "Why I Should Be Chosen to Attend the Camp and What I Hope To Learn."

CRC 7s to Return to PPL Park - June 2/3, 2012

USA Sevens, NBC and Global Spectrum, operators of PPL Park, announced this afternoon that the Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC) will return to PPL Park in Chester on June 2-3, 2012, based on the success of the 2011 event, which concluded on Sunday, June 5. The announcement was made during NBC’s live broadcast of the CRC.

The West Shore United Boys traveled to Washington DC the first weekend of April to take part in the prestigious Cherry Blossom Tournament after their convincing 52-8 victory over Warwick in EPRU league play on Thursday, March 31. West Shore would win their pool by defeating two strong Canadian sides.
