The battle over the coveted Cumberland Cup was played this past Friday night between archrivals, Cumberland Valley (5-0) and Carlisle Thunder (5-1). Cumberland Valley hung on to the Cumberland Cup with a 13-7 victory (see High School Boys Standings).

MARFU Women's Collegiate All Star Team Tryouts/Camps

The 2012 Collegiate All Star season is upon us! Women's players and coaches, read on...
  • All college aged (18-23) women are encouraged to participate.
  • This year is the final year of this event, which USA Rugby is changing in 2013 to reflect changing needs.
  • We have a short tryout season this year.
  • Players are encouraged to attend the May camps and learn some new techniques, styles, or just play next to some different players to build their skills and self-awareness.

MARFU Women's Collegiate Playoffs

The MARFU Women's Collegiate playoffs began Saturday, March 24th with quarterfinal matches hosted by the higher seed.  Since there are only seven Division 1 Women's College teams in MARFU, the #1 seed, Penn State received a bye.  The results of the matches played are:

Teams Named for 2012 H.S. National Invitational

BOULDER, Colo. – The teams that will compete for the 2012 Emirates Airline USA Rugby High School National Invitational Tournament have been set. Eight teams will compete in each division; Boy’s High School (single school), Boy’s High School Club (multi-school), and Girl’s High School.

USA Rugby, acting on input from teams and stakeholders in the high school rugby community, altered the format of the tournament making it an invitational to help teams save money while maintaining a high level of play.

Hosts Needed for PA State Championship Events-Bids Due Feb 10

Any interested high school or club team is invited to submit an application to host one or more PA State Championship playoff events in May of 2012.  In 2012 we will be combining locations so as to host the boys high school and girls club quarterfinals on May 13, 2012 and we will be combining the semifinals and finals of all three divisions, boys high schools, boys clubs and girls clubs, in one host location on May 19 and 20, 2012.

The Eastern Clinic has been moved from the Troxell Building to Moyer Hall at Muhlenberg College. Please see the articles below for more information. Due to the shift in location, the Eastern clinic will now begin at 10:00 a.m.

Moyer Hall is a distinct gray building located next to the Chapel. There is street parking available and a lot available next to the Library.
