Colombia's Hernández Plays for Northeast Philadelphia Women's RFC

Tatiana Hernández traveled from Colombia to spend two months of her summer living in Philadelphia to visit her father. Coming to the United States with limited English skills, she searched for a team to play rugby with to continue her passion for the sport. She came across the Northeast Philadelphia Women's RFC with whom she trained, practiced, and played.

Although Hernández was only seeking for a team to train with, she found friendships and relationships that she now cherishes for the rest of her life. She is grateful for being chosen to play scrumhalf and hearing her new teammates attempt to learn her native language. Her team members would even drive her to and from practice when her father could not.
