Rugby Pennsylvania (RugbyPA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe, professional framework for boys and girls youth and high school rugby competition in Pennsylvania.

Mission
RugbyPA exists to grow participation in rugby at the youth and high school levels in Pennsylvania while educating the public and players about the sport of rugby union as played under the laws of the International Rugby Board, USA Rugby, United States Olympic Committee, or other laws, if any, as adopted by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA).

Overview
RugbyPA is a state based rugby organization formed in 2012 and recognized by USA Rugby as the official youth and interscholastic rugby administrator in Pennsylvania. RugbyPA is governed by a 12 member all-volunteer Board of Directors from across Pennsylvania (four of which will be qualified and elected from its membership in 2013).

RugbyPA is responsible for developing an administrative structure with the objective of promoting the development of youth rugby in Pennsylvania. RugbyPA is also responsible for day-to-day governance including, but not limited to, organizing league structures, collecting dues, implementing a state championship, and conducting rugby outreach.

The Bishop Shanahan Rugby Team was organized in March 1993, by Coach Greg Karabin and Russ McBride for boys looking for a physical contact sport that required intelligence, discipline, physical conditioning, and teamwork.....but was also fun to play. Fifteen young men banded together on the field provided by Msgr. Robert McManus of St. Joseph's Parish in Downingtown, Pa and began practicing and playing matches.

Blackthorn Rugby Football Club's (RFC) Under-19 Women currently play in Division I of the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU), part of the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU). We practice in Horsham Township, but pull from several area high schools.

Cardinal O'Hara Boys Rugby Football Club was re-established in 2010 by a group of Cardinal O'Hara high school students, parents and coaches with a passion for the great game of rugby.  Cardinal O'Hara RFC is organized as a high school boys rugby club and organized under the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU), the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU), and USA Rugby.

Cardinal O'Hara Boys Rugby Football Club was re-established in 2010 by a group of Cardinal O'Hara high school students, parents and coaches with a passion for the great game of rugby.  Cardinal O'Hara RFC is organized as a high school boys rugby club and organized under the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU), the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU), and USA Rugby.    

Carlisle Thunder Boys are proud members of the EPRU.

All players are from Central Pennsylvania, outside of Harrisburg Pennsylvania and under the age of 19. Central Dauphin Rugby Club is an U19 club playing in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU). 

In 2008, the Chambersburg Rugby Club brought the first high school rugby to Franklin County under the name of South Penn Rugby.  Following the initiative to move to single-school teams, South Penn Rugby reformed under the name of Chambersburg Trojan Rugby (since all the boys and most of the girls were from Chambersburg anyway).  Chambersburg Trojan Rugby offers a high school girls team, a high school boys team, and a high school boys U15 team.

The Conestoga Boys Rugby Team competes in the EPRU's Boys High School Division and was one of the first teams to join that division at the EPRU's founding.  Over the years, Conestoga has won the EPRU Championship several times and has represented the EPRU and Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU) at the National Championship Tournament.  The High School Boys are coached by Rob Grassi with the assistance of Keith McClean and Alex Johnson.

Conestoga Rugby Club is a club sport for students of Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.  Established in 1971, it is the oldest High School-affiliated rugby program in the United States.  During its 40+ years, the club has introduced the sport of rugby to nearly 500 students and has produced players who have gone on to play at prestigious levels of collegiate and premier club sides in the United States and abroad.

Conestoga Rugby Club has three teams which compete in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union.  

Cumberland Valley Girls Rugby began in 2004 with the help of a very dedicated, former rugby player/coach who introduced the sport in the Cumberland Valley area. The coaching staff of Shelly/Steve Stewart, Sherri Magnuson, Paula Knudson, and Kim Eleuteri were instrumental in driving this sport to fruition.Rugby continues to be a growing sport here, thanks to the dedication of our volunteer coaching staff. 

The CVYRA, based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, includes players throughout the Cumberland Valley from Harrisburg to Carlisle and Marysville to York. Established in 2005, the CVYRA welcomes all youth aged 7 to 15 who are interested in playing Rugby.

The U13 Dingoes consist of players from Downingtown Middle School (under 13), Lionville Middle School (under 13), and a number of elementary schools in the Downingtown School District.

The Doylestown Rugby Club is located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.

The Doylestown Rugby Club is an independent rugby union club located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. It consists of four teams, the men's team, high school boys' team, women's team, and high school girls' team. 

The Doylestown Junior Rugby Club was established in 1985 under the leadership of head coach John Tomlinson. The team competes in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union and is a regular participant in the nation’s annual Cherry Blossom Tournament in Washington DC.

Doylestown Flag Rugby is a 7 a side non-contact flag form of rugby for girls and boys in 1st through 9th grades.  Skills including running, kicking, passing, space strategy, teamwork, and self-confidence will be developed. Flag rugby requires lots of energy and it teaches young athletes to think on their feet by playing a game that does not stop for time outs or breaks in play. So come and experience the excitement of flag rugby, no experience is necessary, just the desire to have fun.  

The Exeter High School Rugby Team is growing fast... part of Eastern PA Rugby Union. All Exeter HS athletes and those who are not currently playing a sport are invited to try this dynamic Spring sport. Develop your skill, athleticism and leadership by playing Rugby.

Restarted in March 2002 after more than 20 years of inactivity, the team already has multiple playoff appearances.

HARC is a youth rugby organization which is dedicated to teaching positive lessons about character, responsibility and respect through the game of rugby.

The Knightmares teams are a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU). The EPRU is one of three Local Unions that comprise the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union (MARFU). MARFU is one of the seven territorial unions that make up USA Rugby, the national rugby union.  The Knightmares girls field a U-19 and an attached 7th & 8th grade girl’s developmental squad. The Knightmares are club teams, open to all high school girls and middle school girls. There are no residency requirements. No experience is required.

The Hibernian Boy’s High School Team plays in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union which is the Local Area Union of the Mid-Atlantic Territorial Union of the United States Rugby Union.  The Hibernian Boy’s High School Team was established in the spring of 1987 and has played continuously since its inception.

The Hibernian Girl’s High School Team plays in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union which is the Local Area Union of the Mid-Atlantic Territorial Union of the United States Rugby Union.  The Hibernian Girl’s High School Team was established in the spring of 2003.  The EPRU boasts of more than twenty girl’s sides with two divisions.  

The Lake Forest Rugby Club is based out of the Lake Forest High School in Felton, Delaware. This is the third year of the club. The club has faced many challenges starting up in an area with no rugby experience. This year the Lake Forest Boys had 30 members on the team. We won just one match this year against Valley Forge Military Academy. With only losing two seniors from the club, the Lake Forest Boys to be more competitive in the upcoming season and future. 

Malvern, started a rugby team in the spring of 2010 playing in the Brandywine district of EPRU. The team learned how to play the game under head coach Dennis Melesky and Assistant Wayne DiMarco. Soon the team was hitting the pitch and playing experienced teams. The team ended up finishing 6-1 on the season.

2012 is the first year of organized play for Media RFC U13, an affiliate of Media RFC, established 1978.   Media U13 started with 11 boys interested in playing rugby at the U13 level, and this week their roster has swelled to 31 boys in the U13 program!   Media U13 entire roster consists of first year rugby players, and through hard work and the leadership of good coaching, heads into this weekend’s match with Doylestown undefeated and 5-0 in league matches.

We have joined with our sister town in Narberth, Wales and home of the Narberth RFC (Wales) to bring rugby to Narberth
through the establishment of the Narberth RFC (USA).

Our mission is to provide instructional and competitive amateur rugby opportunities that enhance character, community and love of the game, while using the power of sport to inspire, educate and motivate thousands of individuals within our community.

Formed in 2002, The Northeast Raiders RFC hails from Palmer Playground located at the corner of Thornton and Comly Roads in Northeast Philadelphia., Pennsylvania.

A high school club based in Phoenixville, PA. No experience necessary - bring a friend/recruit!

Any student with some skill and knowledge of rugby is welcome to try out for the team.  Roman fields a varsity team.  The season runs from March through May.  The team holds practices at a location TBD and plays home games at River Field.  Check out the newest program at RCHS!

Saint Gregory's Rugby team formed in 1994 and has competed in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union since its inception. The team has competed for and has won extremely high honors.

Prep Rugby started in 2005 to provide the students at St. Joseph's Prep the chance to play a new sport, learn new skills, meet new people and join the growing culture of international rugby.

There is a position for every body type: big, small, heavy, skinny.  If players do not feel they are in shape, no worries, Prep Rugby will help get all players in shape.  And, what's better, players are always welcome to join, even if there are but weeks left in the season.  Everybody plays, everybody practices and we all work to make Prep Rugby Players good athletes and great young men.

The Salesianum Rugby Football Club is a non-varsity sport that is supported, but not funded, by Salesianum School.

It is available to any Salesianum student who is both academically and behaviorally eligible by Salesianum, as well as DIAA, standards.

South Jersey RFC is in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union and the MidAtlantic Rugby Football Union. We are located in Cherry Hill, NJ, a ten-minute drive from Philadelphia and a 40 minute drive from the Jersey Shore resort beaches and Atlantic City Boardwalk Casinos. We are always looking for new players.

South Parkland Youth Association is proud to offer youth Rugby. The goal of the SPYA Rugby program is to give the foundation necessary to learn the game of Rugby. SPYA Rugby is registered with the USA Rugby Football Union.

Founded in 2009 and open to all Hermits at any time, the St. Augustine Prep will teach students the game. There are no cuts! Rugby is a great game that will teach life lessons and team sports. Play rugby in the spring to hone your Football, Wrestling, Hockey, Soccer and Basketball skills and you will be fit.

On June 2-3 2012, St Augustine Prep will compete at PPL park in the HS National 7s invitational tournament. The tournament will feature some of the best high school teams in the country.

The State College High School Rugby Program is for players enrolled in grades 8~12. Matches are played in the spring between teams of 15-a-side on a full-sized pitch. Indoor practice begins the last week of January.  League play begins the second week of March.

Unionville Rugby is a member club of the Pennsylvania State Based Organization, the EPRU, which is the local organization of USA Rugby, the national governing body. Our high school teams compete against great programs like Bishop Shanahan, Conestoga, Malvern Prep, and Coatesville.

Unionville is a single-school program, which means that all players are from the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District.

The Valley Forge Military Academy's Rugby Team competes in High School Boys Division West of the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union.

Swarm Rugby Club is home to U-19 Boys, U-19 Girls, & a U-15 Boys Team. Players are drawn from school districts throughout the entire County of Lancaster, PA.

The West Carroll Marauders Rugby Club's practices are held in New Windsor, Maryland. The club was established in 1995. The West Carroll Marauders are sponsored by the West Carroll Recreation Council and the Carroll County Department of Parks.

Rugby has been in the West Chester area since the 1970s.

Our team philosophy is to uphold the integrity of rugby by honoring the game, having respect for the match officials, the game rules, our foridable opponents, our teammates and ultimately ourselves. The officers and coaches of the club are dedicated to providing a safe, enjoyable atmosphere in which players may learn and excel at the game of rugby. 

West Shore United Girls Rugby Club.  Looking for new girls to get involved in the greatest sport ever. Practices for preseason are held at the soccer fields behind crossroads middle school in Lewisberry, PA.

The West Shore United Boys Rugby Club  was established to bring the great game of Rugby to the West Shore of Harrisburg.  WSU is open to all boys grades 7-12 who reside in the greater Harisburg West Shore Area, no matter the school district.   WSU fields a U15 and U19 team in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union league.

The West Shote United Boys Rugby CLub  was established to bring the great game of Rugby to the west shore of Harrisburg.  WSU is open to all boys grades 7-12 who reside in the greater Harisburg West Shore Area, no matter the school district.   WSU fiekds a U15 and U19 team in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union league.

The West Shore United Rugby Club was founded in 2005 by current head coach Sean Robinson and the Harrisburg Rugby Club. Sean, a long term member of the Harrisburg Rugby Club, was teaching Physical Education at Cedar Cliff and Red Land High Schools in the West Shore School District.
