USA Rugby Coaching Certification Courses, August 18-19, 2012 at LaSalle University - REGISTER NOW
La Salle University will be hosting USA Rugby Coaching Certification Courses on August 18-19. Two courses will be offered - Level 1 (Introducing) and Level 2 (Developing).
Please visit the USA Rugby website for more information pertaining to the workshop and registration procedures.
As per USA Rugby, GU, TU and LAU rules, coaches MUST be certified and current to be eligible to coach the sport. That said, it is imperative that each team has at least 1 (if not more) certified coach on the sidelines. A coaching certification is only good for 3 years unless you took CEU courses. As such, if your current certification is about to expire, please register for the course or risk not being in compliance with USA Rugby, GU, TU, LAU rules/regulations and risk not only forfeiture of your matches, but possible lawsuits in case of injuries while not being under the supervision of a certified coach.
USA Rugby publishes a list of certified coaches throughout the country. If your name is not on this list it's either because you are not currently certified and you will need to take the courses again OR, they inadvertently omitted your name. If you have a question about your certification, please contact the USA Rugby National Office - Chase Langdon at clangdon@usarugby.org or 303-539-0300 ext 131 or Mollie McCarthy at mmccarthy@usarugby.org or 303-539-0300 ext 129. Remember that your certification is only good for 3 years for the date you received your certificate (unless you have extended the deadline by taking CEU courses)
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you in August. Please feel free to contact me or a USA Rugby representative if you have any questions
