Success for the Inaugural Frontline Rugby Camp at Kutztown University
July 10-14, 2005
KUTZTOWN, PA - Frontline Rugby held their inaugural men's high school rugby camp at Kutztown University on July 10th to 14th , 2005. Frontline Rugby is a company dedicated to conducting rugby camps for all ages and abilities. The founders and co-directors are Dr. Gregg Jones: Head Coach, Kutztown University and Mr. Mike Flanagan: Head Coach, United States Naval Academy. The purpose of this endeavor is to bring together the most skilled and professional coaching staff in the country to pass on years of high level collegiate experience to the country's high school youth in preparation for the advancement of their rugby careers and the enhancement of our country's rugby foundation at the grass root level.
The camp consisted of high school players from New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. The camper and coaches spent five days of intense three-a-day sessions and daily classroom lectures on the fundamentals and dynamic aspects of today's modern game. A star-studded coaching staff was available to the campers 24-7, as coaches and campers alike lived the dorm life for the entire week. Coaches were available at any moment to discuss rugby. The culmination of the camp was a scrimmage on the last day of camp where the players had the opportunity to display their new skills in front of the coaching staff and their families. Each player received a Canterbury Frontline rugby jersey and Canterbury rugby ball, along with a certificate of completion and a framed camp photo.

Camp Notes
All campers were hosted in a dormitory on the campus of Kutztown University and all meals were be served in the campus cafeteria. All open University recreational facilities were available to the campers. The University medical facilities were open and available and an athletic trainer or registered nurse was available at all sessions.
A rugby store was open daily. Two campers per room. After an early morning 'wake-up' streatch, all campers attended breakfast. No hot stoves or appliances were permitted in the rooms. Fans were allowed in the rooms. Campers provided their own towels, bedding and toiletries. Lights out at 11pm was strictly enforced.

Camp Structure
The purpose of FRONTLINE RUGBY is to teach the fundamentals of dynamic rugby football. Players will be taught in small groups and hands on instruction will be the order of the day. On the field as well as classroom instruction will be utilized to transfer the wealth of knowledge and experience that our coaching staff brings to this ultimate rugby experience.
