North Penn Rugby Seeks New Head Coach

North Penn Rugby team since 1988

North Penn RFC has a long tradition of excellence and dedication since 1988. Although the club started out as a youth program, they now provide an opportunity for all levels of competition which includes their D3 Men's Club Team. They recently ended their 2017 Season with a competitive run in the EPRU D3 Playoffs with sights of a promotion to D2. 

The club is currently accepting applications for a Head Coach for their Men's Club Team for the Fall of 2017. Practices and training sessions would begin in August 2017. Those applying must have at least basic coaching certificate through EPRU or an equivalent certification. Playing/coaching experience is preferred.

Duties would also include but not limited to:

  • Plan, prepare, and implement practice coaching plans and individual practice coaching plans
  • Work with other coaches in the preparation and running of each practice session
  • Ensure that all activities, venues, and equipment is sage and suitable for the intended purpose
  • Monitor players for injuries and report/remove them when necessary to maintain player safety
  • Work with coaches an captains in regards to match-day selection process
  • Instill appropriate behavior within their players
  • Manager player expectations and build upon club culture
  • Demonstrate commitment to continued professional development
