Sea Isle City Ruggerfest
Each summer for the last 30+ years, Blackthorn R.F.C. has organized and sponsored Ruggerfest in Sea Isle City, NJ.
Ruggerfest is a daylong event for any and every rugger. This year we are looking to do a different format. We are looking for interested college teams to participate in a mini college tournament.
The college tournament will consist of 2 divisions ( Red and Blue) and a series of 20 minute matches; no halftimes, just straight play.
Win= 2 pts
Tie= 1 pt.
Loss= 0 pts.
Bonus (1)- 3 tries
Media Beach Rugby
This will be the 4th year Media Rugby hosts the tournament in Wildwood, NJ.
A reminder that this is played in the sand and is 5v5. Roster size of 8-10 players.
I can confirm that we will have a U19 Boys specific bracket this year! So we will have Men, Women, and U19 Boys.
The tournament this year is Saturday June 9. It is the weekend after the NBC College 7’s tournament in Philadelphia. What a great way to start the summer with the NBC College 7’s tournament and then rugby on the beach! We're in Wildwood so NO BEACH TAGS!!!!!

Philadelphia Whitemarsh Wins! Headed to the Final 4
In February of 2011, Philadelphia Whitemarsh RFC (13-0) sat down after winning 3 games over the previous two seasons and recommitted themselves to get back to the top of the heap in club rugby. Last fall, PW rode that desire to an undefeated regular season and then a perfect sweep of the EPRU playoffs. This spring, they turned their EPRU crown into a MARFU Championship trophy and a ticket to the USA Round of 16. Now, they are headed to the National Semifinals for the first time since 1989. Downingtown High School Girls Featured on Philly.com
The Downingtown HS Girls traveled to Stanford University as one of the top 8 teams in the country to participate in the USA Rugby's High School National Invitational Tournament. In the 7th/8th place match Downingtown (PA) beat Amazons (CA) 15-12 in a thriller.
The EPRU's West Carroll Marauders Girls finished 6th falling to Washington State's Kent 27-5.

Old Gaelic Men beat Harrisburg, 45-12
This past weekend, Old Gaelic Men traveled to Harrisburg for a 37 year old rivalry match. The game started when Harrisburg capitalized on a Gaelic error on the opening kickoff to renew this intense rivalry. This lead would last for 13 minutes .
