January 21 EPRU High School/U19 Boys 7s Individual Testing & Development Camp
The rugby athlete must train and develop unique skills for 7s, be able to make the right decisions in the open field and under pressure and learn to use space. Since 7s is played on the same sized field as 15s, there's more room. This camp will emphasize developing the skills necessary to compete at a high level in the game of 7s rugby.
Development Camp set for Saturday Evening, January 21st, 2012
Hosted by University of Delaware Men’s Rugby Club
Due to its international popularity, 7s rugby was voted into the Summer Olympics Games for 2016 and 2020. Seven-a-side teams compete in two seven minute halves with a maximum of three substitutions. The 7s players must be both mentally and physically disciplined. This results in a fast-paced action that often results in exciting, high scoring games.
