This past Saturday, the Harrisburg RFC hosted their 31st Annual 7s Tournament in Campbelltown, Pennsylvania at the Campbelltown Fire Hall. With a total of 37 teams from 3 different divisions competing in the tournament, players were able to witness the exemplary skill and talent that made these club rugby teams thrive throughout the area.

The Tournament Results

In the Men's Super Social division, the final was a battle between the Lehigh Valley Hooligans RFC and the North Penn RFC. The Lehigh Valley Hooligans eventually gained the upper hand by defeating North Penn RFC in the final match.

The Woman's Division finals consisted of two very strong teams, the White Horse Women and the Lehigh Women. But in the end, White Horse came away with the decisive victory. Frederick MD and MD Stingers faced off in the Woman's Division consolation final. Frederick MD was victorious after a tough match.

In the Men's Division, the consolation final would result in a Philly Panthers victory over Bloomsburg University.

Harrisburg, Lancaster, Old Gaelic, and Molly McGuire all advanced to the Men's Division semi-finals for the championship game. The round ended with Molly McGuire's victory over Old Gaelic and a Harrisburg victory over Lancaster.

Molly McGuire faced off against tournament hosts' Harrisburg RFC in the championship game. Molly McGuire took a 20 point lead in the first half of the match. But, when many believed that they had the match in the bag, Harrisburg showed off their chops with an amazing series of trys to come within six points of winning the match. In the end the Molly's prevailed in an exciting an tightly contested match.
