EPRU 7s Series at PSU Berks

This past weekend was the first EPRU Small College 7s series event for men's colleges hosted by Penn State Berks in Reading, PA. A total of 12 teams competed with two schools - Franklin and Marshall College and Susquehanna University - sending their 2nd sides to compete, while their 1st sides (along with Kings College) participated in the NSCRO 7s National Championship qualifier in St. Mary's City, MD.

In the Bowl, Neumann University defeated Lehigh Carbon Community College in one semifinal, while Philadelphia University defeated F&M in the other semifinal. In the bowl final Neumann defeated Philadelphia 31-12. 

Albright College topped Ursinus College in Cup Quarterfinals #1 20-5, Juniata College topped Susquehanna 12-7 in Quarterfinal #2, PSU Berks topped Swarthmore College 38-7 in Quarterfinal #3, and in Quarterfinal #4 Holy Family University beat DeSales University 24 to 5. 

In the cup Semifinals, PSU Berks defeated Juniata 28 to 0, and Albright College narrowly defeated Holy Family 22 to 21 setting up a cross-town rivalry final between Albright College and PSU Berks. 

In the final PSU Berks prevailed 19 to 12 taking home 20 points. 

The next EPRU Small College 7s series event will be held on from 10am until 6pm on Saturday April 1, at Campbelltown Fire Department, Palmyra, PA and is hosted by Harrisburg Rugby Club.
