In the anticipated U13 match between the Media Boys and Doylestown, the Doylestown boys opened the scoring with some quality rucking and ball presentation from the forwards, which provided the ball cleanly to the Doylestown backs.

The Doylestown backs utilized their speedy fullback Aston McGovern and wing Lance Hendrie to take the early lead with a couple of tries and conversions by Michael Weir. Media then executed some nicely timed weak side plays to drive the ball down the field. Gaelen Kelly then closed the point gap for Media scoring a try off a quick penalty tap. The two teams battled hard with the Doylestown backs breaking some long runs and a score by McGovern and the Media forwards and scrum half working the weak side to score two more tries by Kelly and Carter Pierucci. Doylestown #8 Matt Tur also added a try with good support and an offload pass and an aggressive run from 10 meters out. McGovern added a couple more tries late and Weir made 6 of 7 conversion kicks to give Doylestown a highly contested 47-15 victory.

Prior to the game the teams played an exhibition touch Sevens match with their youngest players making it a great day for youth rugby in the EPRU.

Mark Stough officiated the match.
