EPRU upper division clubs (known as Division I/II) compete in both the Mid-Atlantic (MARFU) Championship and the MARFU Territorial North Division.

The Division I, Championship Division, consists of the top teams from the East Penn, Potomac and Virginia Rugby Unions. The EPRU Championship Division teams include:

  1. Media Men
  2. Schuylkill River Exiles Men

MARFU Division II North currently consists of the following EPRU teams:

  1. Blackthorn Men
  2. Brandywine Men
  3. Doylestown Men
  4. Jersey Shore Men
  5. Lancaster Men
  6. Reading Men
  7. South Jersey Men
  8. Wilmington Men

MARFU Championship league matches are played in both the Fall and Spring seasons, while MARFU Territorial North league matches are played only in the Fall. Both divisions have playoff matches in the Spring, which select the MARFU representatives to advance to the National Championships in Division I and Division II.

The EPRU Men's Division I/II Club Coordinator is responsible for all facets of the Division I and Division II Men's Club programs in its relationship to the governing Unions and the fostering of the growth of rugby.

Men’s Division I/II Club Coordinator – Responsibilities:

  1. Liaison between clubs and the EPRU Executive Committee.
  2. Liaison between clubs and the East Penn Referees Society.
  3. Liaison between clubs and the MARFU Men’s Competition Committee (conflict resolution, league structure, scheduling, etc.).
  4. Create matrix for league play and submit to the MARFU Men’s Competition Committee and Referees Society.
  5. Collect schedules and post a master schedule on the EPRU Web site.
  6. Attend EPRU executive board and general meetings.
  7. Act as CIPP compliance coordinator for clubs.
  8. Represent EPRU Division I/II clubs with the MARFU Men’s Competition Committee.
  9. Oversee and coordinate an All-Star program.
  10. Stay abreast with developments with the Super League program, especially in how it relates to the EPRU senior men’s clubs.
